Why We Do It...

Joel Colinear Founded FTSi in 2009 after over 20 years of success in the corporate world. He wanted to create something more meaningful-an environment where hard-working people would have the opportunity to lead a successful career and home life. Joel believed it was possible to build a culture that would make work more enjoyable and family time more accessible.

Through his vision, Joel established the core principles that would drive the company to profoundly influence and transform lives. With his leadership, passion, and love for people, FTSi has cultivated a unique brand and culture that is unmatched. Sadly, in early 2024, after months of fighting different health complications, Joel passed away at the age of 51.

Joel’s life was about giving his time to, caring for, and serving people. In Luke 22:26 Jesus says, the one who is greatest is the one who serves. The invitation from God is to connect your life to something bigger than yourself and watch how he proceeds to work through you. That was Joel. He did that with his family, he did that with his community and with this company that he worked so hard to build. And when he was with us on Earth, God worked through him in so many ways. Everyone who knew him experienced it. It didn’t matter if you had just met him or knew him for 40 years he had a lasting impact on you. When he walked into a room, the room lit up, when he talked to you, you smiled or laughed. He was kind to people. And that is what Joel has left for all of us. Through Joel we have learned that simply giving your time, and caring for people so passionately is the best legacy you could possibly leave behind.
